Guy is the person clients actually want to talk to. Not because he tells them what they want to hear — but because he tells them the truth in a way that makes sense, and then makes sure the team delivers on it. That's the job of Client Success Lead, and it requires something most agencies undervalue: genuine communication under pressure.
Before co-founding Terrific Digital and later Slash, Guy built his career in customer success and account operations at a B2B SaaS company, where he learned that the gap between what a product promises and what a client actually experiences is almost always a communication gap. He became obsessed with closing it — setting clear expectations, flagging problems early, and making sure the relationship stayed grounded in honest data rather than optimistic dashboards.
When he joined the founding team at Terrific Digital in 2017, he brought that same discipline to the agency side. Client relationships in performance marketing are high-stakes — businesses are betting real budgets and growth targets on results they can't fully control. Guy's role is to make that uncertainty manageable: to help clients understand what's being tested, why, what the data is saying, and what comes next.
At Slash, he runs every client relationship from onboarding through ongoing campaign management. He sits between strategy and execution — not as a middleman, but as someone who makes sure both sides are aligned and that clients always know where they stand.
His belief: a great agency relationship shouldn't feel like a black box. Clients who understand the strategy perform better, give better feedback, and stick around longer. That's not idealism — it's what the data shows.
